The eyes are the windows to the soul, they say, but I guess the smile is the door to it. Don't you agree?
I love smiling. You can see in most of my photos that I always pose with a toothy grin. I also love smiley people. I get the feeling that they are warm, approachable, and trustworthy.
Physically speaking, a good smile would be my weakness. I love seeing a good smile and a good set of teeth on a person. In fact, every person I have ever liked has good teeth.
Job actually has very nice teeth. I often tell him that his teeth are the nicest I have ever seen, and I'm not kidding! He has a serious dental regimen (which he started when he was a young boy), which involved not eating sweets and hard fruits - basically anything that can disrupt the alignment of teeth and can cause discoloration.
Unfortunately, I am not as disciplined. I have a sweet tooth and am fond of eating anything without regard. I'm pretty blessed to still have a decent set of chompers, but some of them are filled with pasta, my two front teeth are crooked, and most have yellow undertones.
Well, I can't change the fact about the pasta and the crookedness of some of my teeth, but I can do something about its color, can't I?
It's pretty amazing when I received an invitation to try Smile Brilliant's LED teeth-whitening kit. How very apt and very exciting! Of course, I just had to try it!
Here are the contents of the kit:

It also comes with an instructional brochure. Admittedly, the kit looks intimidating at first - but don't be. It's actually very user friendly! Before I show you what I did, here's my "before" photo:
1. Get the teeth-whitening pen filled with gel. Twist the pen until gel comes out of the brush. Be careful not to twist so much!
2. Much like painting on a canvass, set the pen on your teeth and apply the whitening gel; start painting! Fill your teeth generously and be careful not to paint gel on your gums.
And the process is not that hard to do at all. In fact, all you need to do is get used to the feeling of wearing mouthpieces. Even the gel tastes great! And no, there's no sting at all.
But what about its effectiveness?
Et voila!
Can you see the difference between my teeth in the two photos? Take note that the change only happened in 20 minutes. Now I have teeth that are a lot better than 20 minutes ago!
The Smile Brilliant Kit originally retails for $69.95 but now you can buy it for $39.95. I say that's pretty reasonable for a kit made of amazing. The great thing about it is that you can use it many times as long as there's still gel in the pen. If you only plan to whiten your front teeth, the kit is good for 5-8 uses. Very sulit, I tell you. (What's sulit, mommy?)

- Dentin
Enamel is a clear and hard protective coating that rest on top of the dentin which is a soft bone like tissue. Everyone's enamel is clear and collects tough to remove stains over time however not everyone's dentin is naturally bright white. Some are fortunate to have naturally bright white dentin while others have an off white or in rare cases a yellow colored dentin. Teeth whitening will only remove the stains from the enamel thus revealing the true color of your dentin.
