Is this an invitation?

*bats eyelashes*

(George, I always remember you when I use that expression above. Hahaha!)

Anyway, I'm pretty happy today. That's a great change from the bad vibes I encountered this week, diba? So happy that I posted an impromptu selfie on Instagram:

Follow me on Instagram: @maanlaxa
Remind me to clean my mirror already. Haha! Now, it's still good to know that there are a lot of honest sellers on the world wide web. The rompers are from @300belowallyours, by the way. Aren't they cute? I also got another front-zip romper and an Old Navy shirt from her. Plus headbands for my sister's growing collection. I'm glad I made her happy despite the Instagram fiasco!

But I'm getting beside the point. This is what made me happy today:

Ms. Ria Jose, if you're not from Davao, is one of the city's most influential bloggers. I have been reading and following her blogs since college, and she's one of my blogging idols. I think she's also one of the founders of the blogger group, Davao Bloggers

Imagine my shock and flattery when she added me on Facebook weeks ago. Now, imagine me getting even more flattered when she followed me on Instagram. Anong nangyayari, Lord? Hahaha!

I was actually confused when Ms. Ria said I should be "more active in Davao Bloggers." Wait, what? Hindi naman ako member ah! :D

Here's a little backstory:

When I started blogging seriously last September, I wanted to be part of a blogger group to pressure myself into blogging regularly. You know the feeling that you are somewhat accountable? Ganun. Then, I discovered BC Bloggers. I am blessed enough to be part of BC Bloggers, which has fueled my blogging mojo. (Char, thank you speech?)

However, the BC Bloggers live far from where I am. I longed to be part of a group where I can really meet the other members in real life and not just online. This is where Davao Bloggers comes in. I've known this group long before I started blogging, so I am pretty much aware of who the members are. When I started blogging, of course, I wished to be part of the group.

Actually, it is easy to be a member. But I know I would either be a blogger the group would be proud to have or not at all. I don't want to be someone who just made herself a member for nothing. Because my blog is still small and gets read by only a few, I keep postponing my application to the group.

That was before Ms. Ria "implied" the invitation. Is this really an invitation? What do you think? Am I finally good enough (based on my own standards) to be a Davao Blogger?

***I know there's so much unnecessary drama in this post, but if you know me, you would know that I always strive to be the best in everything I do.
