Yuri's First OOTD + Breakfast Loot

Last time, I promised (myself) that I would be doing Yuri's first OOTD soon. Our weekly church+mall provided the most obvious opportunity, so I was able to put together an OOTD yesterday. Here it is:

What do you think? Complete with labels pa, like how the Instagrammers do it. Also, I wanted a doable outfit for tropical Philippines, so I avoided layering. Of course. Feel na feel ko ang accomplishment. Hahaha!

By the way, that was the first time Yuri was able to wear his Oshkosh shoes given by Ate Lori of Charles Goodies. They fit na! Yehesss!

The photo lacks a title pala, which I only realized now. Ano kaya? Shades of Red Sunday? Nah. Anyway, I'm officially done with rompers. What should I do with them all? (Konsensya: Ibenta mo na!)

Yuri likes his outfit! IMO hehe

Of course, it's not just Yuri that gets to have his OOTD. Syempre ako rin haha. But it's getting really difficult to "pose" with a hyperactive toddler. Take a look at some outtakes here:

In the first photo, he stepped on my shoe. In the second photo naman, he's trying to get into my skirt. Boys! Hahaha joke lang. Anyway, here's the "successful" OOTD:
Black Sheep cardigan, Forever21 dress, Geneva belt, Crocs shoes, and Carter's diaper bag

So hard to take a decent photo

We went to SM Lanang Premier (as usuaaaal) after church, and because I heard the Science Discovery Center was already open, we went to see it. Tickets are priced at P100 per person, but we decided not to buy because the "receptionist" said the planetarium wasn't ready yet. Eh that's what we wanted to see because Yuri is an astronaut. Ano daw?!

Here's a photo of the lobby of the Science Center. I'm looking forward to visit it next time. :-)

On Dressing Up Little Boys

We all know how it's much easier to dress up girls than boys. Maybe that's because of the limited selection of clothes, especially here in the PH. But still, it's possible, right? Fun even!

I have never been the type to dress up. If you notice in my "OOTD" posts, on most days, I just throw on a dress or a romper, slip on some flats, grab the bag and go. In fact, right now, I'm drooling over this Something Borrowed dress from Zalora's cocktail dresses collection. It looks so fab and sweet and easy to wear!

Okay, I'm getting ahead of myself. What I want to say is that this low-maintenance fashion sense I passed onto Yuri. On most days, I'll just suit him up in a onesie or a romper and off we go! Here are some of the rompers he has:

Those are only some of the boy's rompers. The others are in his laundry basket. Go figure. Lately, though, I have discovered fab moms on Instagram (I love following beautiful people) who dress up their babies fabulously. And, get this, they have baby boys! Here are some photos:

Super cute and fab, right? I want to do the same with Yuri, but somehow, I know it's gonna be hard. Here are the reasons why:

1. Yuri is sooo temperamental. I have trouble making him lie still! It's hard to get him into a one-piece, so wish me luck in forcing him to wear layers of clothing.

2. I'm a practical shopper. Even though I love looking at baby clothes, I can't bring myself to buy a lot of them. That's because I think Yuri won't appreciate them anyway. Now, toys and books I buy a lot because they're what he likes!

3. Yuri can't be bothered to wear accessories. I bought him a cap around two months ago, and I can only count the times he wore it in one hand. Duh, the baby doesn't even like wearing bibs!

4. There's little selection of baby clothes here in the PH, particularly in Davao. Sure, there are boutiques, but the clothes are mahalia.

5. It's a tropical country. I'm happy to let Yuri wear a sando everyday.

But still, it's good to make an effort to look nice, right? I decided I can level Yuri's "fashion sense" by buying him a pair of denim skinnies. Yes, you read that right. Skinny jeans. So what, they're cute. Sue me.

Can you believe this is his first ever pair of denims? I only let him wear shorts in his first year of being alive. Now that he actually has his first pair of denim jeans, I'm inspired to dress him up - maybe not like the Instagram superstars above (hello, ang init!), but I will try!

The Case of the Hacked Credit Card & Other Stories

1. First glimpse of the house

Okay, this is misleading. Our actual house won't be built until next year (the earliest). So it would be a while before I would be posting photos of our house here. However, the model house is almost ready, and my parents (who are both real estate agents) went to the site last Saturday. I wanted to come, too, but a construction site isn't the most comfy place for a baby, so I begged them to take photos instead:
That's my pop in red.

Victor's Place Davao City
I'm just glad the windows aren't jalousies. Teehee.

2. The case of the hacked credit card

Yesterday, I told you that my weekend has been pretty uneventful - except for the fact that someone went on a shopping spree using my mom's credit card. It was either it got hacked or some cashier was able to copy the numbers fast. It was my problem, too, because the card was our sort of joint responsibility. My mom blamed me at first because of my reputation as an online shopper, but I swear I always use bank transfer as a method of payment.
Our only legit transactions are the ones with SM Supermarket Lanang and Island Rose. The rest... what the heck?

My Saturday afternoon was pretty much spent on calling BDO and contacting Amazon, ELF and a certain online store based on Bulacan. It was easy to assume that the thief is a Filipina woman. She spent almost 10k in just a span of 2 days. God knows what else she ordered in the days not covered by the bill.
