Good Vibes June

Aside from December, June must be my ultimate favorite month.

This is not only because it is my birthmonth (*ehem June 7 ehem*) but also because it's like the Wednesday of years. If Wednesday is the week's hump day, then June might me the hump month. You know the feeling that you have survived the first five months of the year (with only minor scrapes and bumps), and when you have goals, you know you still have another six to seven months to do them?

Oh, June. I know you'll be good to me. Good vibes!

So on the first Sunday of the month, we went to good-ole SM Lanang Premier just to stroll. I don't have extra money with me, but that's fine. One can have fun without having to buy stuff, right?

Here's what we wore:

Anak come here muna. Mama wants to have a photo!
Please pardon the different watermarks. I was in the middle of experimenting; I got scared by Marie's comment in my previous blog post hehe. #praning

Anak face the camera!

Ay let me carry you na lang. Solb!

Cardigan: Gaisano Mall Department Store
Romper: Papaya
Flats: SM Solemate

Romper: Carter's
Sandals: Champion
I love my rompers so much. They're so comfy! I got them from a seller over at Instagram. Here's a clearer photo without the cardi:
Black + white + floral + one piece = love!
And here's my favorite feature of all:

Front zipper! Perfect for breastfeeding! Front-zips are my best friend, did you know? :-)

I also met up with the brother of Ate Lorilie of Charles Goodies. A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about the random things I'm loving, and one of them is a pair of "big boy shoes" from Charles Goodies. Right then and there, after reading the post, Ate Lorilie messaged me on Facebook, telling me she wants to give Y the shoes.

For free!

Awesome!!! Thank you so much ate!!!

She also uploaded new batches of clothes, shoes, etc. on her page, and I ordered a shirt for Y. I was looking for something that can fit him (the rest are still too big), when I saw this Carter's shirt:

Too cute, isn't it??? It is still a little too big, so we'd have to wait a couple of months or so before we can wear it. And what about the shoes? Tah dah!

Yay!!! I actually gushed when I saw the shoes in person. Lakas maka-pogi! I love the color and the velcro straps - perfect for a new walker. They're a few sizes too large for Y currently, but he'll be wearing them in no time.

Thanks again, Ate!
Guys, for good quality clothes and shoes (for adults, children, and babies!), kitchen tools, original Corelle plates, beauty products from Canada, please visit Charles Goodies page. You won't regret it, swear! Plus you'll meet one of the kindest sellers on Facebook. :-)

Finally, I also got Y a little something. I wrote another post a week ago about my cute finds for the month of May. One of those finds was a Winnie the Pooh album. It is really, really cute, but Y doesn't have anything Winnie the Pooh, kaya medyo out of place. I was meaning to look for a Mickey Mouse album (our party theme was Mickey Mouse), but, sadly, National Bookstore doesn't have one.

Until I saw this in SM Lanang Premier:

It was a major oh-goodness-why??? moment. I didn't have extra money with me, and Y already had an album, so we didn't need to buy one. However, my dad convinced me to buy because after all, Mickey Mouse is Y's cartoon character. Sayang naman. Tutal 200 lang naman (discounted, galing P350).

Keribambini fight!

It was a good thing I did not open the Winnie the Pooh photo album yet. Thank goodness I didn't write anything in it pa. I'll give it to my godson, Andrei. Don't worry, George, it's good as new! Haha!

Happy June, everyone, and good vibes on you! :-)

PS: I have a public apology to make. Remember my giveaway? The sponsor will only give out prizes when the participants reach 50. However, I only had around 40+ participants. I'm really, really sorry. As much as I would like to just buy you a prize myself, our current finances don't allow it. I'm really, really sorry.

UPDATE:

I decided to pick a winner anyway! I'm sure I can come up with a nice price to give, just to extend my gratitude to all who joined. And the winner is...

a Rafflecopter giveaway

OMG, I swear the picking of winner was totally random. Congratulations, George! Let's discuss what I will give you, awrkay? ;-)

Another Doctor's Appointment

I don't want to write anything election-related for now. Nakakadismaya kasi. So let's talk about Y hehe. Last Friday, Y was scheduled for another vaccine appointment with our beloved docky, Doc Amy. This time, Y had a Hepa-A shot.

The night before the appointment:

J: One year old na si Yuri. Bakit every month pa rin ang bakuna?
Me: Hindi ko rin alam, dy. Ang konti lang ng bakuna natin noon no? Parang isa lang akin. Anti-rabies lang. Joke!
J: Isa lang din akin. Pam-purga lang. Hahahaha!

Okay, so much for the joke. Hahaha. Naaliw lang ako. Super mahal kasi ng bakuna, kaya pajoke-joke na lang kami. So ayun. (May another anecdote pa ako actually starring Honey, Y's yaya, but let's save that for another post). Before I digress further, let's talk about the day of the appointment.

Here's what we wore:
Top: Plains and Prints
Jeans: Forever 21
Pambahay Slippers: Fake Crocs (sorry naman)

On Y:
Shirt: Crib Couture
Shorts: KidStyle (my favorite)
Slippers: Oshkosh from this post
Closer photo: Big smiles!
I love my sister's headband! This costs only P25 in Uyanguren. :-)
Y was a happy camper on our way to the clinic. He just kept mumbling to himself, pointing to the cars and buildings, and playing with my bag. When we entered the clinic, he greeted Doc Amy's secretary with a wave and a smile. However, when Doc Amy went out, nag-morph na si Y into this:

I had to crop my face off this photo because I was laughing hard. Hahaha!
Does this mean kilala na ni Y si Doc? At 13 months, may fear na pala ang babies sa doctors and clinics. I did not know that! I need to brief Y ASAP! Doctors are friends, baby!

I wasn't able to take more photos inside the clinic because Y was like a madman. He kept crying and shouting even when they were just taking his vital stats. Segue: Y was 9.5 kilos when he was 10 months young. Now, guess what? He's 8.9 kilos! Anyare?! Hmmm..

When we arrived home, Y sought refuge in his walker and his new friend, Babbit:
Y can't walk on his own yet. Well, actually, I believe he can, but he's not feeling confident yet. It's okay, baby. In your own time. :-)
A mere fifteen minutes after we arrived home, heavy rain poured down. After another fifteen minutes, there was power interruption. No electricity means no internet! No internet means no work! Eeep!

Gloomy afternoon
On the other hand, I can't remember when we left Doc Amy's clinic without bringing home something. I remember she gave us bottles of Dr. Edwards water when Y was just a few months old. Plus vitamins, cards, books, kung anu-ano. Now, she keeps on giving us educational toys, like what I wrote here and here. We love them all!

Now, Doc Amy still didn't disappoint and sent us home bringing these:

Sorry for the dark, grainy photo. This was taken using my phone during a rainy afternoon. Plus brownout. San ka pa?

Our clinic loot contains two boxes of Nutrilin vitamins (to increase Y's appetite), his third Enfakid activity book (with CD and worksheets!), and two Butter Coconut biscuits. :D
I think this is already our third Enfakid Activity Book. Never mind that I don't buy their milk; I love the books!

And this workbook is serendipitous (took me 15 second to spell that). You see, I was really supposed to buy Y a musical CD or DVD. I planned to visit Mantex after the appointment for pirated DVDs hehehe. Now, I don't have to! Doc already gave us one! Thank you!!!

Clinic Visit

Last Thursday meant another clinic visit for us. It's the day our doc would give us the second dose of Y's flu vaccine. Our appointment was scheduled at 11am, but I had to go earlier at around 10:30 because I had to go to the mall for some transactions. OOTD muna! #pagbigyan

My dark knees won't stop me from wearing shorts. Bwahahaha! Ang init kashe.
Cardigan: GAP
Jeweled tank top: H&M
Shorts: Old Navy
Bag: Fossil
(No shoes? Hahaha)

Mama: Ang init-init naka-blazer ka!
Me: Sorry wala na akong damit. Ibebenta ko na lahat.

I had a couple of transactions in the mall. One was a meetup (I bought something for Y again! Di ko na napigilan), and another was a bank transaction (errr, I bought something for myself). But I swear, these are the only "wants" purchase I'll be making this month. Anyway, after that, I got these:

Chocolate Chip Cookies and Crunch!
My mom and dad were out of town again this weekend (in the time of writing actually), and they're taking my sister along. Seriously, it's the third time they're out of town this summer. First, they were in Camiguin and second, they were in Samal. Now, they're in Surigao.

How does this explain the happy food above? Wala lang. Haha. Actually, the ones above were bought two weeks ago. I just renewed my supply. I'm not even sorry!

An hour later...

An hour later, I was on the way to the clinic to meet up with my parents, who were bringing Y. Y was clearly not in the mood and was even teary-eyed. You see, I left the house with Y still sleeping. Ang himbing pala ng tulog nya. It was already 11 but he was still asleep. So no choice ang lola, she had to wake him up.

Kaya yun, galit na galit sa clinic. Our doc tried to kiss him, pero nagalit lalo. That was before he had the injection. Imagine his reaction after being injected. Warla.

To make up (and since Y also just had his birthday), our doc gave him a lot of stuff, which the little boy immediately played with upon going home. Here they are:

Textured flash cards! Perfect! But there are four of these dapat. Where's the other one?
Here! The little boy got it pala. :D

Texture for touchy-feely babies

A brain puzzle, too!
The puzzle inside the envelope
Trivia!
Last, a musical card!
The little boy plays while eating lunch - which explains the bib.
Yay for clinic loot! Next month ulit, Doc! Hahaha!

Let's read na, baby!

We have another schedule this month sa center, and another doctor's appointment next month. I just hope Y wouldn't be as cranky as this time!

Teal and Sandals

It's been a week since I've written a decent post. My excuse is that I'm busy. I'm working on a garage sale of my clothes. You see, since I've lost weight (yabang!), a lot of my clothes don't fit me already. It wouldn't make sense to keep them in an already overflowing closet, so I decided to just sell them for cheap.

Ugh, an overflowing closet. Don't all girls have this problem? I wish I can say it's a good problem, but not really, since when you look at it, the only clothes that you still wear comprise just a third of the heap. And I still can't decide whether to sell them on Facebook or Instagram. Any suggestions?

On the other hand, I'm keeping most of the dresses I bought post-pregnancy, mainly because they are very comfy and are perfect for breastfeeding. Here is one of those dresses:

Dress: Forme
Bag: Parisian
Sandals: Mario d'Boro

On Y:
Onesies: Carter's
Shorts: Kidstyle
Sandals: Disney
I'm sorry for the angle. My sister took this photo sitting on a chair. Anyway, I got this dress on sale! It was originally priced at P900+ I think, and I got it for only less than P400. It's lightweight so its ferfek for summer! :-)

Both Y and I are wearing sandals. It is summer after all! Please ignore my dark knees. Does anyone know a solution for it? Please tell me.

Uh, we still wear rattle bracelets from time to time. :P

Rattle bracelet: Mothercare
My dress goes along with  the details of Y's bracelet. And Y's sandals are a shade of blue, too! Teehee.

She does!
We were supposed to wear this onesies (is it right to say "onesy"?) the day before, which is my sister's Recognition Rites. She's an honor student after all, so she rocks! Unfortunately, the ceremonies begin at 8am, and Y woke up late. Oh well!

I don't know how to end this post already, so let's just take a look at this photo of Y. Hahaha!

Can you spot the pink rabbit peeking from behind my bag? :-)

Our Simple Easter

Yes, I'm catching up on my blogging today. Masyado akong nag-enjoy sa long weekend ko. Kain lang ako nang kain. No work, no blogging! (Except for the Sample Room's Blogger Circle post teehee #makapluglang)

It was a good thing I was able to leave the house or I would've become a total bum. In tradition of our Sunday OOTDs, let me foist on you what we wore last Easter Sunday:

I wore the ZARA sandals I scored here. I'm not brave enough to take a closeup photo of my feet. :P

The leggings are from a department store (not sure where), and I realized wearing them makes my legs look fat. Boo!

White headband from Uyanguren :D
Sheer maroon cardigan (a 30-year old pamana ni Inay). I also wore it weeks ago here.
Front-zip dress/ long top from www.aionlineshop.com
Bag from SM Parisian

On Y:
Top: Tommy Hilfiger
Shorts: I forgot... Kidstyle?
Shoes: Luvable Friends (the only thing that could fit him now!)

My sister is wearing a cardigan and a plaid dress from my closet. They're supposed to be included in my garage sale, but I guess younger sisters always get first dibs!

Second realization: She forgot to button the cardigan completely. :P
Kaya smile na lang!
Kissy kissy photo

Y: Go away.

Third realization: My eyebrows are so bushy! Ayayay!
Anyway, I mentioned last time na I don't really celebrate Lent and Easter. But I love looking at Easter Eggs! I didn't prepare anything, though, kasi sino nga naman ang maghahanap? Good thing there were giant Easter Eggs over at SM Lanang Premier.

The first giant egg is right below the sun roof. Only my sister was brave enough to have her photo taken with it.
Good thing there was another set :-)
We joined SM's Eggstagram contest. The photo above is our entry. But we didn't win! Baket??? Saan kami nagkamali? Hahaha just kidding.

And oh, according to sources, Forever 21 is having another clearance sale. Tama ba ang balita? If it is, then iiwas muna ako sa pagpunta sa SM. :D

By the way, my post about Y's birthday party has been looong overdue. I hope I get to blog about it soonest! In the meanwhile, here's a sneak peek of what happened. (Sorry, ngayon ko lang na-realize wrong spelling pa talaga yung title ng post last time. :D)

The Day of Reunions

I talk to my dearest college friends, Teena and George, almost everyday. But that's via Skype (and Line) because we don't see each other. You see, we live quite far from each other.

George and I used to be officemates, but then I resigned and began working at home a year ago. Residence-speaking, George lives in the south while I in the north.

On the other hand, Teena and I used to be neighbors. She used to rent a house in our subdivision and we would see each other regularly. That was almost a year ago, too. But she moved to Vietnam when her employer decided to do business there.

But Teena went home late last month, which means only one thing: reunion! Due to unforeseen delays and postponements, we only got to see each other last Friday, where we went to Abreeza!

First, OOTD! :-)
This was actually taken at the Family Lounge (more of this laterzz)
Heart-print romper: Forever 21
Shoes: forever Parisian
 Sheer maroon jacket/cardigan: My mom's

That jacket is an authentic vintage. My mom had it when she was in college, which was 30 years ago. She passed it over to me last year (which didn't fit at first because I was too fat!). Cool no?
We decided to eat at Shakey's because I was bringing Y and our yaya with me. :-)
Clockwise: Teena and George as Instagrammers, the stickers in the planner (my belated birthday gift to Teena), pizza (the only food I took a photo of), surprised Teena (teehee), me and Teena, and Teena and George

Unfortunately, I still look pregnant next to Teena. Hahaha!
...
Because it's my sister's last day of exams, she and our parents went to Shakeys, too. It was fun! After eating, I told our yaya to go with them, while we continued our chikahan in the Family Lounge. On the way there, we found this cool exhibit from D' Bone Collector Museum.
Clockwise: The exhibit tarpaulin, me and Y looking at the other camera, George, me, and Y beside a  dolphin (?), me and an engrossed Y, Y, me, and Teena (happy family!), me, Y, and George
...
We proceeded to the Family Lounge. Imagine my pleasant surprise when I saw these people inside: my high school barkada! It's a reunion day after all!
Osang, Noel, Zarah, Y, and me :-)
Photo from Osang's Instagram
These girls look so glamorous now! Of course, you too, Noel. Teehee. But what I'm referring to are their outfits, particularly their shoes! Unfortunately, Y was already acting up that time (it was time for his afternoon nap), so I wasn't able to take a photo of their shoes. Thank goodness for Instagram! I just grabbed another photo from Osang's account:

Don't these heels look divine? They're from Janilyn. Hmm, I wonder when I can wear high heels again. :-)
...
Before the day ended, my original reunion-mates and I just had to take outfit shots. Pardon our vanity; it's not everyday we see each other! Also, it's not everyday I'm outside the house! Teehee.

On Teena:
Jacket: Bazaar
Blouse: Bazaar
Jeggings: Saigon Square
Shades: Gucci

On George:
Dress: From Zamboanga City
(Left to right)
Teena's bag: Monte Blanc
George's bag: From UK! (If you know what I mean ;))
My bag: Fossil

Teena's shoes: Night Market HCMC
George's shoes: Celine

Now you know that among my high school friends and college friends, I have the ugliest feet. No kidding! Hahaha!

It was a fun day. We were meant to discuss a lot of things, such as business, but we spent lunch away laughing over mundane things. Another time, girls! :-)

*All the photos with watermarks are mine (most are taken by George). Those without watermarks are grabbed from my friends' cameras, smartphones, etc.
