We Have a Certified Positive Winner!

Hello! I'm dropping in quickly to announce the winner for our giveaway! Are you excited?

I'll tell you the truth: I stopped promoting it after the first day. Why? Simply because it's already so hard to choose just one winner that I couldn't imagine having to read even more entries!

Ladies, I love all of your answers. I enjoyed reading all of them and was even moved by some of the entries. If I had the money to buy planners for all of you, I would because you all deserve to win.

But I need to choose. How did I do it? Unlike most contests, I refused to have a Rafflecopter draw. This is a personal giveaway where I'm giving away something I love using with my own money, and I don't want the planner to end up in the hands of some professional contest-joiner. I want to give it to someone who wants it and will really use it.

This is my single criterion: I want the planner to be used for a testimony to glorify God. I want to give the Certified Positive planner to someone who will use it to bless others. While all of your responses are beautiful, I was really moved by the words of this lady:

Christmas comes early here in my blog because I'm giving away a copy of "Certified Positive" planner to one of my readers!

I actually planned to host a giveaway last September during my blog-versary, but I got too busy and forgot about it.

Then I planned to do it last month, but I figured it would be better to wait until November so that it would be like an early Christmas gift to one of you. Are you ready?

I've always used planners. Despite the availability of planner-like apps, I still rely on good old paper and pencil a lot. So for the last three years, I've ordered popular BDJ planners and liked them for their perks and girl-friendly features.

However, last year, I was ready for a change so I looked for other planners. I wanted a planner-slash-devotional but didn't keep this criterion in mind because I was sure there wasn't a locally-available planner like that.

Imagine my pleasant surprise when I stumbled upon Certified Positive.

I received a copy of Certified Positive planner from one of my friends - I actually asked for it haha. I wanted to review it but it arrived already during summer time so a review would be futile.

But I love it! I really do! First and foremost, it's well-made. Based on my experience, it's more durable than the BDJ.

I also like the neat and "gender-friendly" design.

Aside from helping me organize my days, it also serves as my mini devotional notebook.

Sorry, I wasn't able to update my schedule ever since the ex-yaya left haha

I also discover Christian charity organizations through it.

Plus, there are cool features aside from the usual ones...

... and they feature inspiring stories of Christians including some of my favorite celebrities.

The First Quarter's Happy Packages

The first quarter of this year has been truly a blessed time for me. There are a lot of hard times - well, to be fair, they had not been that hard but they had been truly trying - but the amount of blessings I received simply outnumber them.

Aside from the spiritual, personal, and relational blessings I have received (and enjoyed), I also received some material blessings. I would be lying if I tell you I don't enjoy material things - and frankly, if I tell you that, I'm sure you won't believe me. Haha! Tama?

Anyway, I'm pretty thankful because I received things out of his abundance, but what I'm most thankful of is how God listened to what I personally need and gave me those things out of his generosity. This is only one of those moments when I'm grateful to have a God who knows me personally, just like a Father, just like a Friend.

Some of the packages I received were for review, such as this SmileBrilliant kit I've given away and the Tmart Kitchen Scale I reviewed yesterday. They made me pretty happy, but I'm pertaining to things I've been given virtually without nothing in return. Here they are:

I joined Ms. Kaye's book giveaway on her blog because you know how crazy I am about children's books. I was even more excited to join this particular giveaway because I've been looking for another kid's Bible for Yuri. This is not a kid's Bible, but I love how it discusses manners and attitudes from a Biblical perspective.

Lo and behold, days later, I received an email from Ms. Kaye that I won the giveaway! I was really so happy, and I was even happier when we received the book. This is such a great addition to our growing library. I can surely use this when I teach Yuri how to be like Jesus.

This reminds me: I should do a book giveaway on my blog, too!

Another giveaway I joined last month was MyMomFriday's Cycles Sensitive giveaway. I joined this giveaway because I've used Cycles when Yuri was a little baby and I was curious about this new line of products (I'm pretty sure they weren't here when Yuri was a baby).

But my primary reason was this: I was already running out of baby wash and insect repellent! My go-to insect repellent was GIGA, and I didn't have time to visit SM Lanang then, and by the time I did visit, I discovered their booth was gone! I was really counting on winning this giveaway to replenish our supplies haha.

Again, God is truly a personal God because He knows what we need. Because of that, He let me win this giveaway, too! Thank you!

My third happy package is my very own Snapware glass bottle from my dear friend, George! To be honest, I did ask for this specific bottle because I've been wanting my own glass bottle. My first choice was a mason jar, but I figured I would just be adding more kalat into my mother's already stuffed kitchen cabinets, so I needed a more portable tumbler. Thus, the Snapware bottle! I really love it and have been using it for all of my drinks: water, juices, smoothies. 

What about a Snapware giveaway? Hmm.

My final happy package I only received yesterday. It's a super belated Christmas gift (just like the Snapware hehe) from another super dear friend, Teena! Teena who lives far from Davao only gets to go home once or twice a year, so we really value the time we have together. Chos! Anyway, like the Snapware bottle, I also requested specifically for this planner and I loooove it so much!

It might have come delayed - it's almost April na - but it's worth the wait. Woot!

Thank you, also, mwre, for the chocolates! They're inside the pantry now for safekeeping. Mwahaha!

PS: I have an utang letter to you pa. I want to write it already!

So these are my happy packages. They are not exactly my definition of happiness, but what makes them "happy packages" for me is the fact that they symbolize how God continues to provide me favors despite my unfaithfulness and imperfection. This is simply because of the Grace coming from a faithful and perfect God.

Whiter Smile in Just Minutes? Possible! (Review + Giveaway!)

How long does it take to whiten teeth? Hours? Days? Weeks? What if I tell you you can have whiter teeth in just 20 minutes? Would you believe me?

The eyes are the windows to the soul, they say, but I guess the smile is the door to it. Don't you agree?

I love smiling. You can see in most of my photos that I always pose with a toothy grin. I also love smiley people. I get the feeling that they are warm, approachable, and trustworthy.

Physically speaking, a good smile would be my weakness. I love seeing a good smile and a good set of teeth on a person. In fact, every person I have ever liked has good teeth.

Job actually has very nice teeth. I often tell him that his teeth are the nicest I have ever seen, and I'm not kidding! He has a serious dental regimen (which he started when he was a young boy), which involved not eating sweets and hard fruits - basically anything that can disrupt the alignment of teeth and can cause discoloration.

Unfortunately, I am not as disciplined. I have a sweet tooth and am fond of eating anything without regard. I'm pretty blessed to still have a decent set of chompers, but some of them are filled with pasta, my two front teeth are crooked, and most have yellow undertones.

Well, I can't change the fact about the pasta and the crookedness of some of my teeth, but I can do something about its color, can't I?

It's pretty amazing when I received an invitation to try Smile Brilliant's LED teeth-whitening kit. How very apt and very exciting! Of course, I just had to try it!

I think my teeth look nice enough (hehe), but they have yellowish undertones. Thus there is a need to whiten them. Here's how I used the kit:
